Test Strategy

The test strategy is written by the Test Manager with contribution form the architecture team and defines what testing will be carried out as part of the project life cycle. It defines the aim of each test phase, entry and exit criteria and defines the different severity levels for the defects. Typical test phases are unit testing, system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing and operational testing.

Test Scripts

Test scripts define the steps and actions to be carried out during the testing along with the expected results. Test management software can be used on larger projects such as HP Quality Centre and IBM Rational Quality Manager.

Support

System Administration Guide

The System Administration Guide documents how to manage the system in production covering the data warehouse, the data integration services and the BI platform. It includes details on regular maintenance activities, backup and restore procedures, troubleshooting guides and user administration.
