Testing
Test Strategy
The test strategy is written by the Test Manager with contribution form the architecture team and defines what testing will be carried out as part of the project life cycle. It defines the aim of each test phase, entry and exit criteria and defines the different severity levels for the defects. Typical test phases are unit testing, system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing and operational testing.
Test Scripts
Test scripts define the steps and actions to be carried out during the testing along with the expected results. Test management software can be used on larger projects such as HP Quality Centre and IBM Rational Quality Manager.
